Some 50 km from La Ceiba, Roatan is the largest of the Bay Islands, a curving ridget hump almost 50 Km ling and 5 km across at its widest point. Unfortunately; Roatan can be a hard place to enjoy if you are on a budget.

The capital of Costa Rica, San Jose, in the Central Valley is a laid back but busy city. Costa Rica is an ecotourism heaven that is the jewel of Central America and the people here will be proud to remind you of that.

The country’s second city and driving economic force, San Pedro Sula sprawls across the fertile Valle de Sula a the foot of the Medendon Mountain chain, just an hour from the coast. Flat and unispiring to look at, and for most of the year uncomfortably hot and humid, this is a city for getting business done, rather than sightseeing.

The capital of El Salvador, San Salvador, is located in a valley at the foot of the San Salvador volcano. A large metropolis with lots of traffic, San Salvador, has a centre where the Avenida Espana crosses Calle Delgado and all the important buildings are situated.

Santa Cruz, the fastest growing city in Bolivia, is laid out in anillos (rings) that are most concentrated in the centre. Santa Cruz is not quite how you imagine a Bolivian city so if your looking for the real Bolivia it's not the best place to explore.
